System Updates

September 1st, 2020

New System Update Notes/for September 1st, 2020:

  • Pre-Ordering now available!  This new feature allows customers to place orders outside hours of operation, by specifying a pre-order date and time at checkout:

  • Note that Pre-Ordering will limit selections based on the hours of operation defined for a vendor, and will only allow pre-orders to be placed 30 minutes after opening or before closing.
  • Pre-Ordering also works in conjunction with another new feature that has also been released in this update, which is the ability to specify a Minimum Notice Length per product OR across an entire Vendor Profile!
  • You can define a Minimum Notice Length (in days) under the Edit Profile page (which will apply to all products within a vendor’s profile) or define this per-product via a new setting found under the “Time Constraints” tab of the Manage Products page:

  • Note that setting a vendor profile or individual product to require notice will disable immediate ordering for that product(s) and will force customers to define a pre-order date and time at checkout.  Enabling this option per-product will also remove the capability of defining an “available to/from” time constraint for the product.
  • Product listings have been updated to better visually indicate when products require notice or have time constraints applied to them:

  • Pre-Orders (within the next 90 days) will always remain visible in orders table on the Vendor Dashboard (when viewing by “Current Day”), up until the scheduled date of the pre-order.   Vendors cannot acknowledge a pre-order until it’s scheduled date, but can view the details of one at anytime:

These two new powerful features should hopefully result in greater conversions and provide better support to our clients offering catering services or that simply need to leverage these new capabilities!  Please email us at info@simply.delivery if you have any questions or require any further support.
